Q: How long does a kitchen renovation take?

Timelines vary depending on the scope and finishes, but here’s a general guide once on-site works begin:

Basic Kitchen (e.g. Melamine cabinets, laminate benchtop, tiled splashback): 2–3 weeks
Mid-Range Kitchen (e.g. Featured melamine cabinets, stone benchtop, tiled splashback): 3–4 weeks
Custom Kitchen (e.g. 2-pack profile cabinetry, stone benchtop, glass splashback): 4–6 weeks

Can I still use my kitchen during the renovation?

No, your kitchen will be out of action during for the duration of the renovation. A microwave and prepared meals always go a long way during a renovation!

Do you help with kitchen design?

Yes, our talented design team helps plan the layout, select materials, and guide you on finishes and appliances. We also offer 3D visuals so you can preview your new kitchen before work begins. Our goal is to design a space that fits your style, lifestyle, wants and needs.

Can I keep my existing layout but update the look?

Absolutely. If the current layout works well, we can refresh your kitchen with new cabinetry doors and panels, benchtops, splashbacks, and finishes it’s often at a lower cost and with less disruption than a full redesign.

Can I supply my own appliances or fixtures?

Yes. You’re welcome to purchase your own appliances, fittings, and finishes. We’ll provide a checklist and schedule so you know what’s needed and when. We’re also happy to recommend trusted suppliers if you’d like help choosing.

What materials and brands do you work with?

We use quality materials from all the major brands including Laminex, Polytec, and Formica so you’ll have a wide range of colours, textures, and finishes to choose from. When it comes to benchtops, we can work with any stone supplier you prefer, such as Caesarstone, Smartstone, or others.

Whether you already know what you want or need help narrowing it down, we’ll guide you through the options. It’s your home, your style and all selections are tailored to suit you.

What if I have a small kitchen or tricky layout?

That’s where smart design comes in. We specialise in making the most of smaller or awkward spaces with clever storage, improved flow, and functional upgrades that make your kitchen feel bigger and work better, and -of course – look amazing.

Do I need to move out during the renovation?

No. Keep in mind however that your kitchen would not be usable, and the kitchen area would not be accessible. Most people who get a kitchen renovation will say they wish they moved out during the reno, as it can be alot, but realistically, not all of us have another dwelling to wait it out in. If the kitchen is your only cooking area, we recommend planning meals ahead for microwaving while the space is offline. If you can afford it, having a food takeaway budget is ideal. Whilst this is an exciting time, and the result is always worth it, just keep in mind that it is a renovation. We always coordinate the project to minimise disruption and keep things moving efficiently.
